Foundations of the Faith
Christianity has always distinguished itself by focusing on faith or belief, rather than being a religion solely focused on doing things. The beliefs of Christianity have never been vague and the church has always fought against distortions and false beliefs. For the Christian, it isn’t just that we believe in God but that we believe certain things to be true about God. Historically, this led to the formation of the creeds as a principle way of identifying the foundations of Christian belief in God and provided the ‘why’ behind Christian practices.
